MEET CIYO BROWN,
Fibonacci Guitars is pleased to announce new endorsee, Ciyo Brown, and his signature CB-10 Chiquita.
‘Born in Jamaica, Ciyo arrived in England when he was six months old. Though a high academic achiever, qualifying as a Fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives, and specialising in the area of housing law, music has always been a dedicated and professionally nurtured constant in Ciyo’s journey through life. Ciyo is also a college and University lecturer.
From early beginnings, having first been taught to play the guitar at the age
of nine by his father, Ciyo has participated musically in theatre, studio recordings and live performances alongside a parade of internationally acclaimed artists. These have included YolanDa Brown, Suggs, Caron Wheeler (Soul II Soul), Ann Nesby (Sounds of Blackness), Ruby Turner, Annie Lennox, Jean Carne, Jazz Warriors, Urban Soul Orchestra, Jim Mullen, Pee Wee Ellis, LCGC, Sly and Robbie, Christopher Ellis, Brinsley Forde, Dennis Bovell, Hil St Soul, Freddie McGregor, Adele Harley, Linda Lewis, Alex Webb’s Café Society Swing, All Stars Steel Pulse, and Carleen Anderson. A hard working, in-demand, musicians’ musician, Ciyo’s ongoing collaborative works cover a wide range of genres including jazz, reggae, jazz-reggae, soul, gospel, pop and latin music.
Ciyo is also an endorsee of Thomas Blug products and tours regularly with his BluGuitar Amp1 which he now uses with the Chiquita CB-10. He describes the guitar as “beautifully crafted with superb build quality, tone and resonance”. Ciyo is in the midst of new recording projects and live performances which will feature his signature series Fibonacci Chiquita CB-10 so do watch this space!!!
